I appreciate the thanks from many of the readers either through emails or comments for my articles that touches on key matters happening on our little dot.
Although some readers even gone on the say that she or he had “enjoyed” my articles, I humbly apologise for my poor standard of English.
I did not have good foundation in grammar and vocabulary. My poor grammar is atributed to my lack of attention in primary school and the poor vocabulary was due to my inability to relate words to their sound. Many have used the sound of words to help them memorise the spelling of various words, however I have this curious problem of being unable to pronounce words accurately. I could hardly pronouce correctly about 30% of the words I wrote, and if you were to ask me to read any of my post verbally, I would have died and stuck at every other word.
While it was through some hard work that I did manage to get an A2 grading for General Paper in my Junior College days years ago, I will try to work even harder to to perfect these deficiencies of mine, bringing to you easier to read, easier to understand articles.
Due to time constrains I also do not proof read most of my entries. My personal schedules do not allow me more than half an hour for each post.
All that said, I hope readers would understand and forgive me for my poor standard of English, while continuing to support this blog. It is encouraging to see intelligent discussion going on in this little blog, and I hope that more follows.
Having said that, I will try to the best of my ability to present unique news and views of things happening in Singapore, as well as around the globe.
Blogging is a powerful tool and this power can be seen from the self-censorship done by The Christian Times just one day after I relate to their posts.
Once again, thank you for reading, thinking and discussing.
On a sidenote, I have emailed Wayang Party with the intention to be a guest columnist for them and they have replied in the positive.
