The malaysia government had taken actions to order the closure of LeechersLair.com, one of the more well-established bittorrent trackers on the internet.
Shinjiru, that provides hosting services for LecchersLair, was asked by Malaysia’s Communications and Multimedia Commission to shut down the offending site. This development is alarming, as our nearby neighbor had done such a thing. Although there is no local bittorrent tracker that I know of, will this development cause our government to take firmer actions against Singaporeans? I have no idea. |
